***  Important Action Regarding Arts in our Schools: 

    •    Holyoke Public Forum -- Thursday, December 1st, 6:00-7:30, at Holyoke High School

    •    Salem Public Forum -- Tuesday, December 6th, 6:00-7:30, at Collins Middle School 

A focus on standardized testing and a federal education law emphasizing “core subjects” helped crowd out the time and resources devoted to music, dance, theater, and visual arts instruction. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is holding public forums across the state over the next month to discuss its new accountability system on what determines a successful school.

NFS, ( featuring some of our friends from “Waiting for Neil”, “Crowes Pasture”, “Urban Coyotes” ) will present it's latest concert "Happiness is the Truth". This will be a super family friendly and fun show where we feature recent pop music from artists such as Jason Mraz, Alicia Keys, Sara Bareilles and Newton's own Rachel Platten. This promises to be an inspiring and engaging show which puts a smile on your face and a tap in your toes!
