*** With a sad heart, I share with you the passing of Ed Long, due to a long struggle with cancer. Ed was a very frequent patron of Mick Morgan’s open mic scene. He was a jolly fellow, kind and encouraging to all, and a pleasure to call friend. He loved bringing in his original Gretsch Tennesean, and occasionally his vintage Ampeg amplifier. Every cover song he played had a purpose and a story to go along with it. He was also an avid sailor who gave lessons to all, including the blind! We’ll miss you Ed. Strum away at the big gig up in the sky.
